It’s more than just the next big trend, a hybrid IT approach can transform the way you do business.
How is Hybrid IT defined? In short, Hybrid IT looks at each business and application to determine the best deployment methodology for the situation. These methods could be comprised of any combination of clouds, including public (e.g. Azure or AWS), multi-tenant and private – as well as colocation or on-premises within your own data center. Hybrid IT also includes a mix of tasks your team can manage as well as those that are better suited to be handled by a managed IT services provider.
But, how can you make sense of all of the options and choices available? Dictronics has partnered with the team at TierPoint, a national Hybrid IT provider, offering solutions for Colocation, Cloud, Disaster Recovery, Security and Managed Services, to offer our clients answers to questions like: Which applications should I keep on-premises? Which hyperscaler option is better, AWS or Azure? Which option is most cost effective? Which will support my compliance requirements? If I choose to deploy an application in the cloud, how easy (or difficult) is it to shift gears and bring it back on-premises?
All of these are reasonable questions and require some attention. We encourage customers to look inward as they determine the best mix for their organization. That’s because every IT organization has its strengths and its weaknesses. Once you’ve performed an honest assessment of your business needs and each of your platforms/services, you’ll start to see natural advantages of various deployment options.
After all, Hybrid IT is more than just platforms, it’s about utilizing the resources you have more efficiently and releasing their full potential. Regardless of which platform(s) you choose for your applications, you can augment your resources with managed services to free your team from tasks that aren’t part of their core competencies.
Dictronics and the TierPoint team invites you to learn more about leveraging a Hybrid IT approach for your business. Join us for a roundtable discussion on October 27th from 3-6pm for “Tales of Hybrid IT Success.” Hear from companies that have taken this technology approach to heart and will tell their tale of how they made it work for them.
